Bringing Home the Gold


A reception in April at the McGill Faculty Club honoured McGill's own Olympic gold medallist, Canadian women's hockey goalie Kim St. Pierre, currently a student in the Faculty of Education. St. Pierre is shown here brandishing her gold medal with another Olympic athlete, McGill Chancellor Dick Pound, BCom'62, BCL'67, who competed in swimming in the 1960 Olympics.

Vancouver-based graduate Angela Arkell, BA'67, greeted Principal Bernard Shapiro, BA'56, LLD'88, in November at the Vancouver branch's Annual Fall Event held at the Scotiabank Dance Centre.



Land Ho!

Participants in the McGill alumni travel program enjoyed a trip to Antarctica in January, and are seen here taking a Zodiac raft from their cruise ship to the Antarctic shore in order to inspect the penguin population.
