Travel notes

Summer day camps include REACH!, a science camp run jointly by students from Concordia University and McGill.

Explorations started as a summer school for the gifted. It now emphasizes fun, active learning of novel subjects like 3D-film animation, origami and robotics.

The Department of Athletics founded a sports camp in 1984. Part of the program is Sports Plus, where children can receive intensive coaching in a specific sport.

Summer Music Camp

Every two weeks, groups of music camp kids put on a performance at Moyse Hall. Once the little ones have done their thing, the older campers mount a Broadway-based concert. Camp director Clement Joubert, BMus'96, says some of his charges "could easily go on to work in the business."

And here's how they get to Moyse Hall -- practice, practice, practice. Not even an injured wrist could keep one dedicated horn player out of the lineup.

McGill Chapel

As it is everywhere, June is a popular time for weddings at McGill. Located on the second floor of the Birks Building, the University's chapel provides a glorious backdrop for ceremonies of all denominations. Couples and their guests can make it a thoroughly on-campus affair by repairing to the Faculty Club for a reception or dinner following the main event.
