Technical specifications for advertising

Specifications for the delivery of a digitalized ad:

  1. The job must be done on a PC (IBM compatible) or be PC compatible.

  2. The acceptable software is:

    • QuarkXPress and PageMaker (for page layout)
    • Illustrator
    • Photoshop
    • FreeHand

  3. All the ads must have been created to their actual size as well as the "set up document" of the page layout software.

  4. The imports (EPS, TIFF) should be found within the same file as well as the document to be printed.

  5. All fonts (screen and Postscript) should also be found within the same file as the document to be printed.

  6. Provide us with final laser prints which correspond to the actual size of the document.

  7. Remit on:

    • CD ROM
    • SQ 44, 88, 200
    • Optic 3.5": 128MB/256MB
    • Optic 5 1/2": 600MB
    • Jaz: 1GB or 2GB
    • Zip: 100MB

  8. Colours must be edited on CMYK.

  9. Conserve the preferred typographic standards in QuarkXPress.

  10. All the pictures must be saved in EPS, encoding DCS (5 files) unless they are in "Illustrator" or "FreeHand."

  11. The ad should be final without correction and a dye sublimation colour proof (Rainbow) or MatchPrint "Cromalin" should be supplied.
