Dean of Music Donald

Dean of Medicine Visits City of Angels

Meehan Honoured
A luncheon was held at the Hurlburt Lounge of the
McGill Sports Complex to honour the accomplishments of Donald Meehan, BCL'75,
in the world of sport and his support for the Redmen Football Wall of Fame.
Meehan, who represents more than 100 NHL hockey players at Newport Sports
Management, is a former Redmen football player and is shown here with his old
helmet (which was presented to him at the luncheon) in front of his picture
on the Wall of Fame.
Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Leslie Hilford, BSc'93, BSc(OT)'96, and Myriam Malka,
BSW'96, MSW'99, from the Northern California alumni branch unfurl the McGill
flag at a Giants-Expos game in May at San Francisco's PacBell Stadium. More
than100 people attended the branch event.

McGill alumni in
Calgary welcomed Dean of Science Alan Shaver to a special reception at the
Calgary Petroleum Club in March, where the Dean spoke about McGill and the
Faculty of Science in an era of transformation.
Pass the Schnitzel
Members of the New
York alumni branch had a great time at the Heidelberg Restaurant after
attending an exhibit on German artist Christian Schad and the New Objectivity
movement at the Neue Galerie in March.
Leading the Way
Leadership donors were invited to a special reception and panel discussion
featuring some of McGill's top researchers and professors, who answered
audience questions and spoke about their expertise ranging from photonics (or
light-based) engineering to teaching the theory of evolution, medical ethics,
and human rights in times of global conflict.
